 BREAKING: FG approves full reopening of 104 Federal schools



The Federal Government has announced October 12 for full reopening of 104 Unity Schools across the country.

Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu,made the announcement at a press conference.

He said State Governments and private school owners are at liberty to reopen based on guidelines developed for safe reopening of schools.

He urged the colleges to abide by the COVID-19 protocol guidelines developed to curtail spread of the virus.

The Minister threatened to shutdown schools, whether government or privately owned, that fail to obey the protocols.

BREAKING: FUOYE Student Found Dead After Eating Rice In Boyfriend’s House In Osun 21-year-old student of Federal University Of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Faderera Oloyede, has been found dead in her boyfriend’s house. The deceased was found dead in her boyfriend’s house at Koko area in Iree, Osun State. Naijainland gathered that the boyfriend, Maliki Ayo who is yet to be ascertained if he is student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, ran away after the incident occurred. Malik Confirming the story, the Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Opalola Yemisi said the corpse has been taken to Lautech Morgue for autopsy. Yemisi disclosed that the Course mate that went with her, Adekemi Adewumi has been arrested and confessed they all ate rice together overnight. She however said that the the police are currently investigating on the matter.

WAEC has published the full timetable for August to September Exam...click to download the time table

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the full timetable for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). In a post on Twitter, the examination body said it was the ‘Final International Timetable for the Conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2020’. The Nigerian government on its part had approved Monday, August 17 as the start of the exams. It will end Saturday, September 12. A look at the time-table shows students will sit for Mathematics on August 24 and English Language on August 26. Practicals for science students begin this Friday, August 7 with Chemistry.
